Popular producer Miryala Ravinder Reddy, who made blockbusters like 'Jaya Janaki Nayaka' and 'Akhanda' has now turned his focus on his brother-in-law Virat Karrna. He has spent lavishly on his debut film 'Peddha Kapu' to make him a saleable hero in Tollywood.
"Ravinder Reddy has spent more than Rs 10 crores since he didn't want to leave no stone unturned to establish his wife's brother as an action hero. With stiff competition from film families, Virat has to prove himself with his debut film itself," says a source.
The film is being helmed by director Srikanth Addala and it is touted to be a new-age political thriller. The movie produced by Miryala Ravinder Reddy of Dwaraka Creations will hit the screens on September 29th.
As revealed through the teaser, Peddha Kapu-1 is a film based on oppression and confrontation. The trailer is expected to unveil more about the movie. Chota K Naidu handles the cinematography, wherein Mickey J. Meyer provides the music.
Will Miryala Ravinder Reddy's gamble pay off and launch Virat as an action star, that remains to be seen.
