Boycott Maldives: Nag cancels his holiday trip to Maldives
Seasoned star Nagarjuna claimed that he was planning to go to Maldives for a holiday trip with his family. “I was supposed to leave on January 17th for Maldives for a holiday since I couldn't spare much time for my family. I was working for 75 days for Big Boss and Naa Saami Ranga without a break,” says the actor in a video with composer M M Keeravani and invariably joins the 'boycott Maldives' campaign. “Now, I have cancelled my tickets and looking go to Lakshadweep next week,” he adds.
He claims he had been to Maldives many a time for its picturesque beaches. “I had gone to Maldives quite a few times, but this time I chose not to go there,” he informs and adds, “Their ministers comments against our Prime Minister Narendra Modi were in bad taste and they are going to pay a price. PM Modi is the leader of a 1.5 billion people and much respected across the world,” he points out.
On the work front, Nagarjuna is awaiting the release of his rural-centric film ‘Naa Saami Ranga’ to bounce back into the reckoning after few duds like ‘The Ghost’. He is banking on a Malayalam remake and also taking on his rivals at the ticket windows this Sankranthi festival. “I wish all my colleagues good luck,’ he had said.
