Pawan Kalyan's master stroke!
With elections just around the corner, every political party is vying to get their own channel for the sake of publicity. And Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena is no exception as general secretary Thota Chandrasekhar recently bought over a news channel.
“A few months ago, some channels started giving negative publicity to Pawan Kalyan, which irked the actor and prompted him to even tweet about it. That’s when he told his party people that it was better to get their own channel,” says a source.
Interestingly, as soon as the 99TV news channel, formerly owned by the Communist Party came up for sale, Jana Sena party person Thota Chandrasekhar decided to buy it to propagate Pawan Kalyan’s live speeches.
“With this new channel, the actor also wants to counter other channels that are spreading negative publicity about him,” adds the source.
Meanwhile, there are rumours that popular businessman Nimmagadda Prasad is planning to buy news channel 10TV which is also owned by the Communist Party.
