Young actress Nivetha Pethuraju, who was seen in films like ‘Red’ and ‘Das ki Damki’, is now doing a lady-oriented untitled film with director P Manjunath of ‘Ladies & Gentlemen’ fame. “It would be a gripping thriller and Nivetha is playing an author-backed role to showcase varied shades,” says a source.
Probably after playing second fiddle to heroes like Sai Dharam Tej (Chitralahari), Ram(Red) and Viswak Sen (Das Ka Damki), she wanted to carry a film on her slender shoulders and chalk out a new course.
People Media Factory is bankrolling this project and it is one of the much-awaited movies from this banner. “Nivetha did another female-oriented film ‘Bloody Mary’ with director Chandoo Mondeti, wherein she played a role with grey shades as she settled scores with her opponents tactfully,” he adds.
Among Malayalam divas, Nivedha is holding her fort in Tollywood, while her colleagues like Nivedha Thomas and Anupama Parameswaran have slowed down a bit.
