I'll Showcase Y S Jagan's Real-life Character in Vyooham, says RGV

Maverick director Ram Gopal Varma claimed that he wants to showcase the real-life character of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in his upcoming film ‘Vyooham’. “I will be presenting my viewpoint about Y S Jagan because I like him as a daring person. This film will be similar to my other film ‘Lakshmi’s NTR’ wherein I showed what happened in NTR’s life after his second marriage and made it as realistic as possible,” he informs. He rules out any plans to bring Y S Jagan back to power with his film. “That’s not my motto because I am a filmmaker,” he adds.

He claims that he has no intention to attack opposition leaders like TDP supremo N Chandrababu Naidu and others in his film. “I will just depict whatever happened in Jagan’s life and the issues he faced and how he overcame them. The film will be authentic and a fool-proof presentation of facts. However, I have no intention to poke at his political opponents,” he points out.

He rules out making any film on his bete noire Pawan Kalyan and claims that ticket rates were not hiked for megastar Chiranjeevi's new film ‘Bhola Shankar because of a delay in presenting documents. “ I heard that government officials concerned didn’t receive necessary documents on time and there is nothing more to it,” he reasons.

Producer Dasari Kiran Kumar added, “We will be making a lavish film befitting the status of our protagonist. We will be shooting real-life episodes in real locations with huge gatherings and it is bound to cost us a bit. We are determined to dish out a memorable film without making any compromises.”
