While last Friday saw the release of a few dubbed films, this Friday, nearly 14 small films are releasing, of which some of the film names are not even known.
“Only two to three films have done good business while the others are being released by their producers on their own. Some of them can’t even pay rent, but are still releasing the film at their own risk,” says a source from the industry.
Some of the prominent releases are Snehemera Jeevitham, produced by and featuring Siva Balaji, the recent Bigg Boss winner and Siddharth’s comeback Telugu film Gruham, which was postponed to this Friday. Khakhi, a dubbed version of the Tamil film starring Karthi and Rakul, is also releasing this Friday. Interestingly, some of the films were made a long time ago and with no big film releases, the makers decided to release them this week.
