Hyderabad: After the huge success of ‘Baahubali’, ace director SS Rajamouli embarked upon RRR, a multi-lingual period action drama which also made record collections at the box office.
In one of the events following the release of Rajamouli’s magnum opus, his father and scriptwriter Vijayendra Prasad said that they would make a sequel for it. Now, the director confirmed the same stating that the works for RRR sequel were underway.
RRR starring Jr NTR and Ram Charan had been a stupendous hit winning applause from viewers outside the country too. The director himself graced the movie’s success meet held at Chicago. Recently, the movie was released in Japan and there was very good response from the audience there. The film was even pitched for the Oscar awards.
“I too like to make a sequel for this pre-Indian Independence fiction but cannot reveal the details of it now. My dad writes stories for my films. We spoke about RRR-2,” he said.
Soon Rajamouli would helm a film with Superstar Mahesh Babu and RRR-2 could go on to the sets after that movie.
