Reputed Telugu production house People Media Factory. who made films like 'Karthikeya 2', Pawan Kalyan's 'Bro,' and Ravi Teja's 'Eagle', are on a big expansion plan in Tollywood. “T G Vishwa Prasad is planning to expand his footprint in Tollywood and wants to churn out a good number of films to enthrall Telugu viewers. They want to dish out star-studded movies as well as content-driven stuff,” says a source, and adds, “They have already worked with big stars like Prabhas, Ravi Teja and Pawan Kalyan and want to work with other big guns too,” he adds.
Vishwa Prasad has brought his daughter on board to oversee the production and creative aspects of their films to deliver more hits “She has been personally supervising their big ticket production with Sharwanand in London and was a hands-on producer. She offered a lot of creative tips and suggestions to cut costs and shoot in picturesque locations. She will be heading one of their new banners and churn out good movies,” he adds.
They have also brought in the concept of Bollywood corporate houses-signing up superstars in three or four film deals. “Already, Vishwaprasad has signed a Rs 100 crore deal with Ravi Teja and has announced their third film with him under the direction of Harris Shankar two days ago. They would like to tie up other big stars to expand their brand equity They have also made content-driven movies like ‘Karthikeya 2’ and ‘Brochevarevarura’ and promote new talent too,” he points out.
They also introduced story department culture in Tollywood where the stories are heard by a creative team and once approved, they move to the next level of budgeting and casting. “Even scene-to-scene analysis is being done by the creative team to shore up the success rate of their movies,” he concludes.
