AP Govt Confirms Ticket Price Hike of Rs 50 For Adipurush

The Andhra Pradesh government gave its nod to hike movie ticket price by Rs 50 in theatres for 10 days following a request by the makers of Adipurush citing the huge budget of the film. The home department of the Andhra Pradesh government released an order permitting enhancement of rates of admission for Adipurush in theatres.

In its order, the AP government stated, "Government after careful examination of the recommendation of the committee vide reference 2nd cited, hereby permit the managements of all the theatres in the State of Andhra Pradesh to increase an amount of Rs 50 per ticket over and above the admission rates mentioned in GO Ms No.13, Home Department dated, 07.03.2022 for all classes for a period of 10 days from the date of first release of the film Adipurush.

It is worth mentioning here that the Telangana government too issued orders on Tuesday giving permission to hike ticket price by Rs 50 for single-screen theatres in the state for three days. The government also gave its nod to allow six shows on the day of the movie release. As per the order, the exhibition of Adipurush can begin from as early as 4am.

Adipurush, inspired by Ramayan, is directed by Om Raut and features Prabhas, Kriti Sanon and Saif ali Khan in pivotal roles.
