Rakshit Shetty's Sapta Sagaradaache Ello to release in Telugu
Actor-filmmaker Rakshit Shetty had a clear strategy for the release of Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A in theaters: it would initially debut exclusively in its original Kannada version. While he had dubbed versions prepared, Rakshit was determined to release them only when there was a significant demand, which he believed the Kannada film would naturally generate. The film, directed by Hemanth M Rao and featuring English subtitles in theaters, received a warm reception from audiences interested in love stories. Since its release on September 1, the film has performed quite well at the box office and continues to do so. With the second part, Side B, set to premiere in just over a month, Rakshit is now prepared to introduce the film to broader audiences and assess their reception.
On September 22, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello Side A will hit theaters with the title Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati for Telugu audiences. Rakshit took to social media to make the announcement, stating, "As Sapta Sagaradaache Ello’s love resounds across Karnataka, our cinema is now poised to capture hearts in a whole new arena! Releasing Sapta Sagaralu Dhaati in Telugu on 22nd September. Our dear Telugu audience, we hope you accept our labor of love as your own."
Described as an intense love story, Sapta Sagaradaache Ello revolves around the deeply in love couple, Manu (Rakshit) and Priya (Rukmini Vasanth). Manu works as a driver for a business magnate, while Priya, raised by a single mother, aspires to become a singer. Their dreams of a future together, including a seaside home, shatter when Manu takes responsibility for someone else's mistake and is imprisoned. The impact of this decision on Manu and Priya's relationship forms the core of Side A.
In contrast, Side B unfolds a decade after the events of Side A and delves into Manu's life after his release. Chaithra J Achar enters the narrative as Surabhi, though her role as either a new love interest or a source of support for Manu remains undisclosed. While the chemistry between Rakshit and Rukmini was a significant highlight of Side A, Charan Raj's emotionally resonant musical score and Avaitha Gurumurthy's visually captivating landscapes also played pivotal roles.
