To be cast opposite Varun Tej
No CaptionIn a big development, former Miss World Manushi Chhillar is set to debut in Tollywood. She has been roped in to play the female lead opposite Varun Tej in his next film. Sources say that the film’s director Shakti Pratap Singh Hada believed that her fame would enhance her appeal in the role. Since the film is being made as a Telugu-Hindi bilingual, the makers felt casting Manushi would also appeal to the audiences up north. Manushi made her filmy debut in the Akshay Kumar-starrer Samrat Prithviraj. She is said to be a box office draw given her credentials, and the makers felt her fame would help push the film in the Hindi circuit.
The film is said to be a tribute to the Indian Air Force (IAF). While Varun Tej plays a fighter pilot, Manushi’s role has been kept under wraps. Pre-production work is currently in full swing.
