One of the most sought-after models in Kolkata, Darshana Banik is now gearing up for her debut in Telugu cinema. The model-turned-actress, who has done several ad campaigns and walked the ramp for various top-notch designers, will debut as the female lead in Naara Rohith’s forthcoming Telugu film. Directed by Paruchuri Murali, the action thriller has been titled Aatagallu and the actress has already commenced shooting for her part.
Rohith has a penchant for launching new faces in his films and has handpicked Darshana as his romantic interest this time around. A source informs, “The filmmakers chanced upon Darshana after seeing her pictures.”
The pretty girl, who recently made headlines in Bengali cinema with Aschhe Abar Shabor, already has six films in her kitty now. She was also a part of music video Ye Dil Hai Bekarar last year.
