Naira Shah, who was last seen in the Telugu film, E Ee, has bagged an important project. The actress, who undertook a theatre acting course in Mumbai, will play one of the female leads in Aadi Saikumar’s next film titled Burrakatha, directed by debutant Ratnababu.
Apparently, the script has a good scope to introduce another interesting character as the lead actress, and director Ratnababu felt that if a newcomer would play the role, it would give a fresh look to the characterisations.
Moreover, since Naira Shah has earlier worked in Hindi soap operas, the filmmakers felt she has the required experience to fit the role. Interestingly, Naira is a silver medallist in the National level kickboxing championship.
A source close to the unit informs, “With Naira Shah’s inclusion, the major casting process has been done (with Mishti Chakraborthy as the other leading lady). The filmmakers are now looking forward to expedite the shooting process.”
The film will be bankrolled by Srikanth Deepala.
