The actor is apparently unhappy with the censor Board rating.

Actor Suriya, who is all set with his next film in the Singam series — S3, disappointed fans on Thursday when he announced that the film’s release has been postponed from the scheduled date of December 23rd.
“Dear all! #S3 stands postponed due to several external factors not under our control! Believe it's for the larger good! Need all your support! (sic),” tweeted the actor.
It is learnt that after the film got a censor rating of U/A, the actor was unhappy and decided to meet the revising committee.
This comes as a good move for the film as Chennai is just trying to recover from the aftereffects of cyclone Vardah.
Starring Anushka and Shruti Hassan as the female leads, S3 is bankrolled by Gnanavel Raja.
