Actor Ram Charan’s next with director Sukumar has been progressing briskly over the last few weeks. The team wrapped up an elaborate schedule in the Godavari belt last month, as a part of which several important sequences and a song were shot. Recently, the unit returned to the city and shot for a few days in the scorching summer heat. Turns out, Charan was so involved in work that he kept going despite the heat and refused to slow down as he wanted to finish the film as scheduled.
“On some days, he’d start off at three in the morning. In fact, the team suggested that they take a break because of the rising temperatures in the city. However, Charan insisted on shooting as he wants to finish the film on time, and also make ample time for post-production,” shares a source.
Meanwhile, actor Prakash Raj has joined the cast and will be seen in a key role. “Sukumar and Prakash last worked together in Jagadam a decade ago. When the director sketched the particular role, he could think of no one but Prakash to essay it,” reveals the source.
Starring Samantha as the female lead, the film is a rural drama and has Ram Charan playing a hearing impaired man.
