When it comes to historic films, Neeta Lulla does a fine job with the costumes. Now, the makers of Gautamiputra Satakarni have roped in Neeta Lulla to design the outfits for the movie. Neeta has earlier designed outfits for Rudhramadevi. The designer has been researching the art and culture that prevailed during the Satavahana period.
“After a thorough research I have crafted and conceptualized the look for each of the characters with apt colours and fabrics with right texture and authentic detailing. We have studied Amaravathi structures and developed sketches from figurines and mounted them in form. The warrior’s armours had a lot of detailing that was achieved through careful understanding of the era while providing necessary appeal,” Neetu Lulla described the work that went behind Gautamiputra Satakarni.
