With buzz around superstar Mahesh Babu’s upcoming film ‘Guntur Kaaram’ rising by the day, the makers are planning to sell the film for more than Rs 120 crores. They are looking at Rs 40 crore for Nizam region, Rs 60 crore for Andhra and Rs 15 crores for Ceded and around Rs 15 crore for overseas. “It will definitely cross Rs 120 crore mark and it would be highest in the career of superstar Mahesh Babu till date,’ says a source and adds, “The trade deals would be closed in a week or two since even distributors are showing keen interest to bag the action film to cash in on festival holidays as the film is set to release on January 12,'' he adds.
Marking the rising popularity of Mahesh Babu, the makers even reshoot a couple's fights and scenes to enhance the quality of the film and reach to the rising expectations. "Even an 18 day action episode was reshot and also songs were made on lavish scale since they didn’t want to compromise on any aspect,” he adds.
No doubt, Mahesh Babu is truly banking on this action-centric entertainer to regale his fans and also to draw in sensational openings to give his rivals a run for their money. "He is expecting to cross the Rs 200 crore mark and outwit his rivals. He has a huge following in varied cities in the US and also expanding to Tamil Nadu," he points out.
Mahesh Babu is teaming up with Trivikram Srinivas since he is adept in delivering an anger-driven film packed with love and family emotions to reach out to a wider section of audience. "Trivikram has worked hard on the screenplay and dialogues to add another big hit to his illustrious career," he concludes
