Anantapur-born Telugu talent, Sumaya Reddy, embarked on her journey in the entertainment industry initially as a model, setting her sights on the silver screen. However, after facing challenges in securing the desired opportunities, she chose an unconventional path, establishing her own production house. Driven by both beauty and brains, Sumaya is taking charge of various facets in her debut film, 'Dear Uma.'
"I wanted to become an actress. Always. But for multiple reasons, it has never been easy. Especially for Telugu speaking girls, finding opportunities is tough. So to prove my acting mettle, I decided to turn producer for my own films," says Sumaya.
In this maiden project, 'Dear Uma,' Sumaya Reddy is not only the lead actress but also dons the hats of writer and producer, showcasing her multifaceted talents. Paired opposite Prithvi Amber, the movie is helmed by director Sai Rajesh Madhav, operating under the banner of Sumachitra Arts. Having completed filming, the project is now undergoing meticulous post-production processes.
Currently, Sumaya and the 'Dear Uma' team are gearing up for an extensive promotional campaign, eager to introduce this compelling tale to the audience.
