Seasoned star Venkatesh is a huge cricket buff who was spotted watching cricket matches live in stadiums on several occasions. A lot of times, his presence in the stadium is registered by his fans on social media. He enjoys waving the Indian Tricolour to cheer on our cricketers.
Recently, Venkatesh posted pictures with legendary cricketer Vivian Richards after meeting him during the World Cup semifinal match in Mumbai. “He also met reigning Indian captain Rohit Sharma and clicked a few pictures with him.
In fact, Venkatesh rarely misses a cricket match since he is fascinated with the game of cricket and has travelled world over supporting Indian team,” says a source and adds, “Venky kept cheering Indian team as the match was heating up and was overjoyed when India trounced New Zealand to reach World Cup Finals. In between, he clicked pictures with Richards and David Beckham to show his admiration towards them and posted them on his social media handles,” he adds.
He also displayed his batting skills in Celebrity Cricket League few years ago and also was a captain for Telugu and south stars team. “He was actively participating in those events and boosting the chances of Telugu stars who were fighting out with Bollywood and Tamil actors,” adds the source.
On the work front, Venkatesh is looking forward to his pan-India film ‘Saindhav’ which revolves around the medical mafia. “He is playing an action packed role in this action adventure and the trailer has triggered loads of hype. It is slated for release during Sankranthi next year,” he concludes.
