Guntur Kaaram Hindi dubbing rights sold for Rs 25 cr
Superstar Mahesh Babu is truly on a high as his films are bought by Hindi distributors like hotcakes. His upcoming action film ‘Guntur Kaaram’ with ace director Trivikram Srinivas has been reportedly bought for Rs 25 crores by Hindi distributors.
“Mahesh Babu has surely surpassed his own films and few of his rivals with this record price,” says a Hindi distributor who claims that Mahesh Babu movies are watched with more interest by Hindi-speaking viewers. “His charming looks, romance, and action episodes are lapped up by Hindi viewers in a big way,” he adds.
His earlier movies like ‘Maharshi’ ‘Sarkarivaari Paata’ and ‘Sarileru Neekevaru’ were traded anywhere between Rs 16 to 21 crores, but the combination of Mahesh-Trivikram seems to have fetched ace Telugu producer S Radhakrishna a big sum.
With Mahesh Babu’s ratings soaring among pan-India viewers, his much-hyped debut in Hindi with ace director S S Rajamouli’s action adventure is bound to give him a much-needed break in Bollywood and expand his horizons beyond the south.
