Akhil Akkineni might have waited a long time before zeroing in on his second film after his debut film Akhil flopped. However, while he’s already working on a film with Vikram Kumar, we hear that it is possible that his next film could be with Boyapati Srinu.
A source in the know informs that the director, who is known for his mass entertainers, has been on Akhil’s wishlist for a while. In fact, the duo has met a couple of times to discuss the possibility of teaming up. “Srinu has pitched a story line to Akhil who seemed interested. They decided to take a final call after seeing the end draft of the story. Both of them are quite held up for now with their respective projects. Srinu will also be working with megastar Chiranjeevi soon. So they will have to discuss how things will shape up,” adds the source.
Meanwhile, a hunt is on for the leading lady of Akhil’s next film, and Boyapati is busy wrapping up Jaya Janaki Nayaka starring Rakul Preet Singh, Catherine Tresa and Bellamkonda Srinivas as the lead.
