Actually, Gunasekhar approached Rana Daggupati few years ago and held discussions for two to three years to dish out a mythological film revolving around demon king Hiranyakashyapa. With the project shifting hands, the director has triggered a storm on social media with his cryptic tweet today,

“While making God the central theme of your story, you must also keep in mind that God keeps an eye on your integrity. Unethical acts will be answered through ethical means,” he wrote.

According to a source, "Director Gunasekhar has good command over mythological movies. He made Bala Ramayanam and tasted success. He approached Rana to play the demon king and was discussing about various aspects for three years,” says a source and adds, “They even prepared storyboard by spending more than Rs 1 crore to make it easier for the visual effects team. It was planned to be made with over Rs 100 crore budget by joining hands with a Mumbai-based corporate house but later he didn’t take off,” adds the source.
