Why so cagey, Bunny?
Actor Allu Arjun seems to have drunk a potion marked “caution” for sure. A recent interaction with him for the print media was indicative of a new “better safe than sorry” avatar. Perhaps he is still reeling from the aftermath of the infamous cheppanu brother controversy and seems to have become really guarded when it comes to giving interviews, especially to the print media. In this particular interaction for the promotion of Duvvada Jagannadham, much to the chagrin of the media, there were pre-interview conditions that prohibited them from asking about anything other than the film!
Allu Arjun had a posse of PR people and the film’s producer Dil Raju surrounding him, and if any question that wasn’t meeting the “pre-interview” conditions was asked, the actor’s “protectors” tapped your hands and requested you not to tread that route. Questions related to his family or controversies surrounding the film or himself were taboo; anyone who tried to go past it was either cut off midway or refused, albeit in a nice way. Needless to say, the media were miffed by the unnecessary ‘bouncers’ planted to protect him from their questions. It also left everyone wondering why the interviews were even organised if the actor was unwilling to talk! His unease was evident from his restrained and dispassionate answers to questions.
Sources close to the actor attribute this edgy behaviour to his fear of being misquoted. “When he was promoting his last film Sarrainodu, his comment in an interview with a Telugu newspaper was blown out of proportion. It had a huge impact on him eventually. He just doesn’t want a repeat of the same and is trying to be cautious than be sorry later,” the source adds, indicating that the aggravation of Pawan Kalyan fans post the comment did unsettle the actor.
“Better safe than sorry” doesn’t suit you, Allu Arjun, is all we are trying to say.
