Ananya Nagalla revels in her upcoming fan-girl moment
Ananya Nagalla has every reason to be excited. The Mallesam actress is being cast in Pawan Kalyan’s yet-untitled film, the much-anticipated remake of Bollywood’s huge hit, Pink.
Although Ananya is yet to sign on the dotted lines, she cannot but express her happiness. “It’s a great opportunity for me to be part of such a great project. I have seen Pink and it haunted me for as few days. The dialogues and the gripping script really touched me. But I never imagined that I would get an opportunity to be part of the Telugu version,” she says.
Ananya, who hails from Khammam (Telangana State) and always wanted to become an actress, played a homemaker in the biopic Mallesam. In Pink’s remake, she’d reprise the role of Andrea, who belonged to the North East. “But my role will get a different spin. There are also a few layers, which make the role even more challenging,” Ananya explains.
Adding that she’s looking forward to working with Pawan Kalyan in the Sriram-Venu directorial, an excited Ananya says, “He’s one of my favourite actors, and sharing screen with him would truly be a fan-girl moment for me.”
Clearly enjoying her career progression merely two years since she joined the industry, Ananya says she’s been on a path of self-discovery. “I am enjoying the life of an actress; but facing rejections initially was very tough, which I couldn’t deal with. Later, I realised that I need not be accepted by all because everyone has their own viewpoint. Also, I learnt that as results are not in our hands, all that we can do is put in a lot of hard work,” the Playback actress says, signing out.
