Amidst busy schedule, Shah to meet Naatu Naatu team on Sunday

HYDERABAD: Union home minister Amit Shah is expected to meet the team from the superhit movie ‘RRR’ and the Oscar-award winning song ‘Naatu Naatu,’ during his visit to the city on April 23.

Shah had in August last met with actor N.T. Rama Rao Junior, who starred in the movie; after ‘Naatu Naatu’ won the Oscar for best song, Shah had met with Ram Charan, who was accompanied by his father and actor Chiranjeevi, on March 17 in New Delhi.

Shah’s visit also has the BJP leaders from here on tenterhooks with some worried that the top trouble shooter in the party will grill them on how the party is preparing for the Assembly elections later this year. So far, the party has been struggling in expanding its base at the ground level, and also, according to party sources, not meeting the expectations with respect to strengthening the party by attracting influential leaders from other parties.

The Union home minister is scheduled to arrive at the RGI Airport at Shamshabad at 3.30 pm, and then proceed to a hotel and meet with the ‘RRR’ team over a cup of tea at 4 pm. Shah is also expected to meet members of the state BJP core committee before leaving for Chevella where he is scheduled to address a public meeting at 6 pm He is expected to leave the city for New Delhi at 7.50 pm.
