Star director S S Rajamouli has praised hero Prabhas and director Nag Ashwin for creating an authentic futuristic movie ‘Kalki 2898 AD. “Great job Nagi and Vyjayanthi movies. Creating an authentic futuristic movie is such a difficult task and you guys made it possible. Darling looks smashing. Only one question remains… Release date…#Kalki2898AD”, Rajamouli's tweet reads.
Apart from the likes of Rajamouli, the glimpse received a thumping response from a legion of Prabhas fans, while others said that the film looks similar to Denis Villeneuve’s directorial venture, ‘Dune’.
Earlier, Prabhas’ pan-world film Project K, directed by Nag Ashwin got a new title – Kalki 2898 AD. The first glimpse of the film showed Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan, and Deepika Padukone trapped in a futuristic world, fighting dark forces.
Nonetheless, Nag Ashwin who rose to fame with his niche movies like ‘Yevade Subramanyam’ and ‘Mahanati’ has now embarked on an ambitious movie that depicts the war between good and evil and how a savior would arrive when darkness engulfs society. Whereas, for reigning star Prabhas, it is yet another larger-life role after not-so-impressive ‘Adipurush’ to serve his fans a feast.
