Music Wizard A R Rahman has reportedly sent two mellifluous numbers for his upcoming big-ticket Telugu film with hotshot star Ram Charan which is being directed by Buchi Babu. “Usually, A R Rahman takes some time to belt out tunes. But this time, he has composed not one but two soulful numbers and sent it to director Buchi Babu and awaiting for corrections, if any,” says a source who claims that Rahman was truly impressed with the gripping sports-centric drama narrated by Buchi Babu.
“He liked the story very much and also realized that there is scope for beautiful songs and breath-taking background score and already began his work as the film is set to go on floors in January next,” he adds.
Actually, young director Buchi Babu scored a big musical hit film ‘Uppena’ with ace Telugu composer Devisriprasad. The songs from the movie like "Nee Kallu Neeli Samudram’, ‘Sandram Lona Neerantha’ and ‘Dhak Dhak Dhak’ busted musical charts as they captured the mood and situations in this love saga elegantly. "Initially, Buchi Babu wanted to work with DSP but later considering the span of his next film with Ram Charan he began to meet A R Rahman and director-composer struck a chord,” he points out.
Ram Charan who has reached great heights in his career and with a fan following in Hindi and Tamil and across the world, preferred to work with a composer like AR Rahman who has pan-India appeal and belts out tunes that regale music lovers across the world.
Living up to it, the Madras Music Wizard is determined to prove his mettle in Telugu filmdom although his chartbusters from Tamil dubbed movies like ‘Gentleman, ‘Boys’, “Indian 2’ and ‘Robo’ won him a massive fan following among Telugu music lovers over two decades.
