Differing perceptions in creative matters is a common scenario in showbiz. Ravi Teja’s yet-to-be titled film under director Ramesh Varma is facing such a situation now.
The actor and director are reportedly having ‘differences of opinion’ over the choice of a music composer for the film. While Ramesh Varma is batting for Devi Sri Prasad, Ravi Teja is in favour of bringing Thaman on board.
Thaman is on a high after the smash hit album, Ala Vaikuntapuramloo. He has also earlier worked on a couple of Ravi Teja’s films and is a good friend of the actor, making him a natural choice for the actor.
On the other hand, Ramesh Varma has worked with Devi Sri Prasad for only one film, Oka Oorilo (2005). However, the two share cordial relations and great bonding.
“Although the actor and director are not at loggerheads, they seem to be backing their own men. It’ll be interesting to see who has the last laugh,” says a source.
