Actress Ritika Singh who has played a scribe in couple of her movies, will now play the role of a sports journalist in her latest, Boxer, which has a sports setting.
“Although I have acted in sports-drama films earlier too, the shades and layers to the character I play in this one are completely different from those earlier ones. It isn’t just any run-of-the-mill role but one with a character that adds soul to the film,” she adds. The actress, who found fame for her portrayal in, Guru, also wants to try variation with her roles.
“We want to constantly to reinvent us with every film, which can happen with the kind of roles we choose. In Guru, I was portrayed as an aspiring boxer, I played an urbane girl in my next film. So I am glad that I am able to showcase variations,” she explains.
