Gunasekhar helped Trivikram for 'Athadu' but now.. ?
It looks like seasoned director Gunasekhar has more reasons to be annoyed with ace director Trivikram since he was one of the few important persons to convince superstar Mahesh Babu to act in ‘Athadu’. It all happened between 2003 and 2004, when Trivikram just made his debut as director with ‘Nuvu Nenu’, while Gunasekhar was among hits like ‘Chudalani Undi' and “Okkadu’. “Mahesh Babu wanted Trivikram Srinivas to wait for a few months after approving the script of ‘Athadu’ in principle since he had to complete other commitments,” says a source.
Instead of waiting, writer-turned-director rushed to producer Sravanthi Ravi Kishore and dished out ‘Nuvvu Nenu’ with Tarun and Shriya Saran. “Mahesh was a bit annoyed since Trivikram didn't wait for him. Besides, he made a small budget film before starting a big project like ‘Athadu’, hence he was avoiding to even meet him for a few months,” the source adds.
Meanwhile, Gunasekhar, who used to frequent Padmalaya Studios those days, happened to get to know about the tiff between Mahesh and Trivikram. “In one of his meetings with Mahesh, Guna personally told Mahesh to consider the project with Trivikram since the story was interesting and also convinced him that Triviikram would deliver a good film. Finally, Mahesh relented and the film took off,” he source concludes.
Unfortunately now, Trivikram has taken over ‘Hiranyakashyap’ which was pitched by Gunasekhar to Rana Daggubati. Prompting Guna to vent his anger in the last few days.
