Undeterred by duds like ‘Bhola Shankar’, megastar Chiranjeevi is set for a magnum opus this time. His 157th film is being produced by reputed banner UV Creations. With young director Vassishta coming up with a gripping socio-fantasy script, the makers have already described the film as beyond your imagination. “Honestly, even the budget of the film is beyond anyone's guess since it could cost Rs 200 crores to suit the stature of the megastar. It will be the highest budget film in his illustrious career,” says a source and claims that his last blockbuster 'Waltair Veerayya' was made with a budget of Rs 130 crores.
The makers also claimed that after 90;s blockbuster ‘Jagadeka Veerudu Athiloka Sundari’ which is touted to be an evergreen classic in Telugu filmdom, Chiranjeevi will be doing a fantasy movie after a long time. Director Vassishta who made smashing hit ‘Bimbisara’ is looking to rope in 6 to 7 heroines for his magnum opus. “They are discussing with a couple of top heroines and also planning to erect massive sets to bring down the celestial world to earth and also with the help of CG work to catapult the audience to a new world. It would be one of the best visual wonders in Telugu cinema,” the source adds.
The swashbuckling role etched by the director will be larger-than-life and befit the status of a megastar who has been doing some fun-centric movies these days. “Heroism will be a major highlight of the film and the megastar will be tackling different kinds of villains in his new avatar,” he concludes.
After failing to impress the audience with remakes, Chiranjeevi has resolved to do straight subjects to revive his winning habit and reaffirm his position at the top.
