Doing Chandramukhi 2 was a no brainer, says Subiksha Krishnan
When actress Subiksha Krishnan got a call from ace director P. Vasu to do a bold role in Chandramukhi 2, starring Kangana Ranaut, she was a bit surprised. “That’s because thus far I have played only innocent and bubbly roles in Tamil and Malayalam films. I wondered how P Vasu Sir called me,” Subiksha says, adding that being a part of the film is a dream for her.
The director liked Subiksha’s performance in Goli Soda 2 and called her. “I was excited about the challenging role, as I want to try out different characters. This role was a golden opportunity,” she says.
Subiksha will be seen as the daughter of Radhika from Chandramukhi’s clan.
The actress says being a classical dancer, having started learning the art from the tender age of three, came in handy to bring out various layers in her character. “The film has an ensemble cast, so I was a little nervous while performing in front of them. But Vasu Sir’s instructions helped me to perform well. He calmed me down and asked me to focus more on the character I played,” she shares.
Revealing that she was surprised by her own makeover, Subiksha says, “I’m confident I can carry this confidence into other characters as well.” Working with Vasu and Lawrence was an enriching experience, she says, signing off.
