Yesteryear actress Vanisri’s son Abhinay Venkatesh passed away in the early hours of Saturday. The 36-year-old died in his sleep, according to family members. He is survived by his wife and a four-year-old son.
Abhinav was a doctor, and so is his wife. He passed away at a farmhouse in Thirukalukundram, in Chengalpattu district of Tamil Nadu. His body was brought to Chennai this morning.
Vanisri was one of the popular actresses who ruled Telugu cinema in the 70s and 80s. She acted in many Tamil and Malayalam films before she got married to a doctor. The couple had a son and a daughter.
Vanisri is in shock, and her friends in the industry have been calling her to express their condolences.
