Look What Kangana Said About Stepping into Jyothika's Shoes

She avoided to take political questions but assured scary moments for audience in her film.

Bollywood actress Kangna Ranaut admitted that she was apprehensive about reprising the role of actress Jyothika in Chandramukhi 2. "Certain characters are etched in the minds of people. So when I got this offer to reprise Jyothika role I was bit hesitant. But later with support of director P Vasu i could do the role with ease," she says and adds, "I think any actress doing my role in a film like Queen would be feeling the same."

She was talking to media in Hyderabad to promote her upcoming film Chandramukhi 2. "I watched Chandramukhi 1 twice and it is surely an iconic film," she informs. Drawing parallels, she says it's sequel is also perfect blend of horror, comedy, romance and action. "A perfect sequel to gripping entertainer" she quips. She also dismisses the North and South divide in films. "Regional barriers are blurring and there is no south or north director but just director as film fraternity is one," she explains.

She avoided to take political questions but assured scary moments for audience in her film. "I initially scare audience with screams and other sounds before my character appears in second half. It was interesting role. I have done titular and authorbacked roles in Hindi. This time I wanted to add a blockbuster to my body of work," she concludes.
