Komal Jha's next is a comic caper
After having been the leading lady in various languages, Komal Jha’s next will be a full-fledged comedy, a first for her. My Dad’s Wedding is helmed by Anand Rao, and the actress is excited about her punch lines and one-liners.
My Dad’s Wedding is about how the protagonist gets his father remarried amidst a comedy of errors. “Apart from playing the hero's love interest, I also play a substantial part in driving the narrative. The audience will get to see me in a new role,” says the actress who has already shot for the film.
The filmmakers were impressed by Komal’s photos and performance in her earlier films. Interestingly, the actress recently completed a Master’s Degree in Vedic Astrology. Komal has been interested in the subject since childhood. What was a hobby eventually turned into a course of study. “I am very spiritually inclined and that’s one of the reasons I took up the two-year course. I got a basic understanding of horoscopes, auspicious times and other things that’ll help me take wiser decisions and stay disciplined,” she says.
Meanwhile, she seems to have slowed down as far as Tollywood is concerned. Asked for the reason, she replies, “I have been getting exciting roles in other languages, so I am quite happy. Moreover, I never chased roles, and only do films that are offered to me. I might be doing fewer films, but I want to be remembered for my filmography,” she says in conclusion.
