Chiranjeevi and Pawan Kalyan face off again?
Is it sibling rivalry? Perhaps not. But it’s definitely a case of ‘contrasting perceptions.’ Make no mistake, when it comes to cinema, Pawan Kalyan idolises his elder brother Chiranjeevi! But cut to politics, and the actors-turned-politicians have their own ideologies, and do differ with each other.
The latest development to trigger disagreement between them is the ‘AP three capital’ idea.
A couple of days ago, Chiranjeevi, a former Union Minister, welcomed Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy’s idea of having ‘three separate capital cities’ for the state.
Commenting that the development was possible only with decentralisation of administration and power, Chiru said Jagan had the right idea.
This did not go down well with his brother Pawan, who has been opposing the concept through his political outfit, Jana Sena. However, a source close to the siblings rules out any enmity between them.
They are only ‘expressing their viewpoints’, the source insisted. “No two siblings are the same! Chiranjeevi and Pawan might have contrasting beliefs politically, but there’s no room for any sibling rivalry between them; at the end of the day, they’re brothers!”
