Following filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s film on the Vijayawada-based politician Vangaveeti Mohana Ranga, another biopic on the Vijayawada-based leader Devineni Nehru has now been announced.
Actor Taraka Rathna has been roped in to reprise the late Telugu Desam leader in the biopic, which is currently in its pre-production stage. Director Shiva Nagu will helm the project. “The Devineni family has done a ton of good work, and our film will showcase legitimate facts,” the director said.
Dikshith Entertainments will be producing the film, and its shoot is expected to begin in May this year.
“Devineni uncle happens to be a close family aid, and I’m glad to have been chosen to reprise him in the movie. We’ve even received permission from the Devineni family for the film,” Taraka Rathna said, adding, “I’ve known the director for a while now, and he’s super talented. The film’s script expounds the real-life incidents that have taken place in the life of Devineni Nehru. We’re confident that the film will be a success and people appreciate it,” said Taraka Rathna.
