Monal Gajjar buys a house in Hyderabad
Earlier this week, Monal Gajjar gifted herself a plush new apartment in Hyderabad. The actress says that buying a house in Hyderabad has been on her agenda for a long time and that she’s glad that she moved into the city with her family.
“I have been looking for a house for over two months. So recently when I came across this house online and got hooked to it instantly, I bought it immediately,” says Monal, seeming pretty gung-ho that she can now officially call herself a Hyderabadi.
The housewarming ceremony for the new apartment was held on June 21 although it was a low-key event, just as she’d wanted it to be. “We did a Satyanarayana Vrat ceremony and invited only a few people,” she explains. “I’d rather settle down in the house before inviting everyone slowly.”
For all the right reasons
Buying a house was one of the biggest and most emotional life decisions for The Bigg Boss Telugu Season 4 contestant. Even so, a house in Hyderabad had rationale to it.
“One of the reasons I bought a house in the city was because I’ve been working on several Telugu projects, for which I’ve been constantly shuttling between Ahmedabad and Hyderabad. So I bought a house here so that my family could stay with me here. Now I can utilise the travelling time to spend with my parents and granny,” Monal elaborates.
And with the Hindi projects she’s been getting lately, a home in Hyderabad also made for a more comfortable travel between the city and Mumbai. “Moreover, now I can binge on home-cooked food,” she adds. The new house is the second one for the actress, who already has one in her hometown Ahmedabad.
The actress says that she was lucky she didn’t have much difficulty in getting a house. “It’s the place I want to come back from work and unwind with my family.” For now, Monal has been spending time unendingly shopping for her home’s interiors and décor requirements.
“We have limited stuff, as the flat is new, I’ve been making sure that everything I buy for the house is new. I only got clothes from my Ahmedabad house. I still have to buy a lot of stuff here, and I’ve been doing nonstop online and offline shopping,” says the actress who wants to celebrate this moment with her dear ones.
