Shruti Haasan has carved a niche for herself in the showbiz, be it in acting or music. Recently, the actress completed 10 years in the industry, and she took the opportunity to thank all those who stood by her. “The decade has been a great learning curve for me, and a great phase of my life. My stint in showbiz so far has transformed me a lot, not just as an actor, but also as a person, bringing me great insights over these years,” says the actor. Reflecting on her tenure in the industry, Shruti talks about how every film has been a learning exercise for her because of how “One gets to learn new things acting-wise. Also, we meet different people from various walks of life, which is an all the more enriching experience,” adds the Srimanthudu star.
Adding that she feels blessed and thankful for whatever has come her way, Shruti says, “Without the support of my filmmakers, co-stars and, of course, the audience, I wouldn’t have been able to reach here. The audience has always received me warmly for my roles, irrespective of my films’ success, and I think that’s one of the reasons for my confidence in experimenting with new roles.”
The actress goes on to share how the challenging part of her journey was learning things the hard way despite being the daughter of superstar Kamal Haasan. “Dad was there for me all the time, but he made me understand that I need to come to terms with the real world only with hard work,” she reveals.
