Glam diva Shruti Haasan who delivered a hat-trick of hits in Telugu -- Krack, Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy -- has now reportedly jacked up her remuneration and demanded Rs 3 crores for her next Telugu film and already rejected a couple of offers.
“Shruti is among big hits these days and she is trying to cash in on it,” says a source and adds, ”She is demanding Rs 3 crore for her next Telugu film after drawing Rs 2 to 2.25 crore for her recent movies with Chiranjeevi and Balakrishna.”
No doubt, she has another big budget flick ‘Salaar’ with superstar Prabhas slated for release and her stocks are bound to soar.
“Salaar is a big budget film and it has pan-India appeal and remunerations for such a crazy project would be definitely on a higher side. Those rules do not apply for a straight Telugu film which are made with limited budgets unlike ‘Salaar,” he points out.
Of course, she is good looking and talented but she hasn’t got meaty roles in Telugu that would test her acting prowess, rather she is confined to few romantic scenes and to dance with top heroes in lavish songs.
“She has kept her ratings intact by sharing screen space with big Telugu stars but she has to reconsider pay revision to extend her innings in Tollywood,” he concludes.
