Mumbai-based actress Malvika Sharma has been flooded with offers after her debut performance in the Ravi Teja starrer-Nela Ticket. Although she has been reviewing scripts with an open mind, she was never in a hurry to sign her next film. And then, Maruthi came along with his script. Apparently, her portrayal in the director’s forthcoming film was something she couldn’t resist.
We have learnt that Maruthi met the actress recently to narrate his script to her. Convinced of the film’s potential, Malvika agreed instantly to come on board. Apparently, what excited Malvika was the different layers in her character and how it drives the narrative.
“Maruthi seems to be impressed by Malvika’s performance in her debut film. But the actress is yet to sign on the dotted line,” said a source.
If all goes as planned, then the film should go on floors in June.
