Pawan Kalyan to make his small screen debut
Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan is all set to follow in the footsteps of Bollywood’s Aamir Khan and host a television show much like Satyameva Jayate. The show will address social issues and highlight the problems faced by individuals and communities. It will mark Pawan’s small-screen debut too.
The aim of the show is to empower citizens with relevant information, spark discussions about sensitive social issues prevalent in the two Telugu-speaking states, and to spur people into action.
In the past, Pawan has been approached by the makers of several television shows, but he’s never evinced interest in a small-screen project until now. He’s believed to have taken a special liking to the concept and presentation of this show.
“Pawan relishes having an opportunity to talk about social issues. Since he’s venturing into active politics, he feels that the show will give him greater insight into various social problems,” a source says.
The actor is expected to start shooting for the show next month.
