Tollywood Filmmakers Shocked Over Mrunal Thakur 's High Remuneration

Her manager is reportedly demanding more than Rs 3 crore as remuneration, though she does not have a significant presence in the South.

Frequently, we come across stories of actresses being deceived by their managers when it comes to payments and commissions. Recently, allegations of fraud have arisen against two managers, both of whom represent leading actresses. One of these managers is currently responsible for the career of actress Mrunal Thakur, who gained popularity in the South after her role in "Sita Ramam," released last year.

Before "Sita Ramam," Mrunal was relatively unknown in the South. She was already recognized by Northern audiences for her role in the daily soap "Kumkum Bhagya." She had also appeared in feature films like "Love Sonia" and "Super 30" alongside Hrithik Roshan. More recently, she made an appearance in an episode of "Made In Heaven 2."

With the success and fame, she achieved through "Sita Ramam," Mrunal has been striving to establish herself in the South, and her manager has been working diligently toward this goal. However, it appears that most of their efforts have been directed solely towards increasing her remuneration.

Recently, Mrunal completed her part in the film "Hi Nanna," starring Nani in the lead role. For this project, it is rumoured that the actress received a substantial paycheck. A confidential source who worked on "Hi Nanna" revealed, "Many have inquired about Mrunal's compensation for the film. She has been paid an amount exceeding Rs 2.5 crore. Additionally, her staff, who are from Mumbai, charge a hefty fee, and their transportation expenses are quite burdensome for the producer."

The actor's manager is reportedly demanding more than Rs 3 crore as her remuneration, even though she has not yet established a significant presence in the South market. While some producers question the basis for such a substantial demand, it is a known fact that this manager has a history of negotiating high remunerations for the actresses he represents.

Madhusudhan Reddy, a senior production manager, commented, "Tollywood requires actresses who can speak Telugu fluently. Actresses from the North have always been in demand, and this is why their managers quote such high fees, allowing them to earn substantial commissions. Although a few Telugu actresses are gradually making their way into the industry, these managers tempt them with lucrative paychecks."

It's worth noting that Rashmika Mandanna parted ways with the same agency and later, she walked out of two films that were set up by him. The same manager currently represents Sreeleela as well. Recently, Vijay Deverakonda and Parasuram announced their collaboration for the second time after "Geetha Govindam," and the production team wanted Rashmika Mandanna for the female lead role. However, according to our sources, the manager ensured that it was Mrunal who was cast instead of Rashmika.
