Yatra 2, directed by Mahi V. Raghav, has been hitting the right notes. The film is a political thriller that shows the rise of present Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Jagan. While Jiiva portrays Jagan, Mammootty plays the role of Jagan’s father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy. And we have reliably learnt that the makers have roped in Mahesh Manjrekar to play TDP leader Chandrababu Naidu.
This casting detail has become the hottest news in tinsel town in the wake of recent developments relating to the TDP leader.
Apparently, the makers initially found it a challenge to find an actor who resembles Chandrababu. They finally fixed on Mahesh Manjrekar. “The actor was excited and had no hesitation in coming on board,” says a source, adding that Mahesh had already joined the sets and shot for his part.
