Singer Mohana Bhogaraju, who has crooned famous numbers including Manohari (from Baahubali 1) and Dikka Dikka Dum Dum (from Soggade Chinni Nayana), continues to create an impact with her soothing vocals. Her recent number Iraga Iraga (from Naa Peru Surya) is still topping the charts.
“I’m really thrilled! It’s a great feeling and experience to see my song topping the charts. It’s a fast-paced number that gave me a difference experience while recording,” shares Mohana, whose song Sarasaku Ra (from Rajugadu) has also garnered great buzz.
Having sung famous numbers over the years, Mohana states that she wants to explore various genres in singing. “Every time I get the opportunity to sing, I get to learn a few things. Singing for different genres adds to my repertoire and makes me a versatile singer. Hence, I love to explore various facets of singing. So far the journey has been satisfying, but there’s a lot more to do,” she reflects. With even actors taking to the mic these days, does she view them as her competitors?
“It all depends on what the composer wants. He has a vision on what kind of rendition he wants, so you can’t compare the two,” she says. The Hyderabad-born singer shares that her best ts were when Prabhas and Allu Arjun appreciated her singing skills.
