With hotshot star Ram Charan agreeing to an equitable share in his upcoming film ‘Game Changer’ along with director Shankar and producer Dil Raju, the actor would reportedly take home Rs 100 crores since the film will do roaring business riding on its hype. “Ram Charan preferred a share in business over remuneration for his big-ticket entertainer ‘Game Changer,’ and that decision will fetch him more Rs 100 crores since the film’s business is going beyond Rs 350 crores plus,” says a source.
Actually, with big names involved in the film, producer Dil Raju mooted the idea of sharing in business over pay cheques since it would be challenging to pay advances to stars like Ram Charan and a big director like Shankar. “All the three decided to go for equitable share, keeping up their stature and popularity. Already, the heady combination of Ram Charan and Shankar has triggered enormous hype for the film. All the three big guns resolved to take 33% share each in the total business of the film, including theatrical, digital, and satellite rights across India,” adds the source.
The action-adventure will be released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and other languages because of the huge popularity of the actor-director combination, and buyers from various regions are showing a lot of interest in this message-driven action saga loaded with visually pleasing songs. “Shankar has delivered blockbusters like ‘Indian’ and ‘Aparachitudu’ to carve a niche in Tollywood. Despite taking more than two years in production, the actor, producer, and director will make good money,” concludes the source.
