Dhanush clears the air
Recently ace actor/ filmmaker/writer Visu had warned Dhanush and producer Pushpa Kandaswamy against remaking the 1981 Rajinikanth blockbuster Netrikann (which he had written) without obtaining due permission from him. Now, in order to put an end to the controversy, Dhanush has spoken to Visu and clarified that he is not planning to remake Netrikann and hence, the allegation that he was buying the film’s remake rights was misplaced.
Visu said “Dhanush telephoned me and clarified that he was not remaking Netrikann. He said what I had heard in this regard was incorrect. He told me that he had only responded to a reporter who asked him which film of Rajinikanth he wished to re-enact, and named Netrikann. He also said the reports about him buying the film’s remake rights and starting pre-production work were baseless.” Menaka, who acted opposite Rajini in Netrikann, had also telephoned him, Visu said. She denied that anyone had approached her asking for dates for her daughter, actress Keerthy Suresh, to act as Dhanush’s pair.
