Chiranjeevi’s upcoming film under director Kalyan Krishna has been the talk of the town for its interesting plot and ensemble cast. While it recently came to be known that the film is a straight Telugu one and not a remake, we now learn that Trisha Krishnan has been approached to play the leading lady.
The director was looking for a senior actress and felt Trisha would be a perfect fit. He narrated the script to her, and Trisha likes the story and her character design but needs to check her dates availability. “Trisha would love to be part of the project and is presently revisiting her date diary to work out a schedule that doesn’t clash with of her other films in Tamil,” says a source.
If all goes well, Trisha and Chiranjeevi will be sharing the screen after 17 years. The last time they worked together was for Stalin (2006).
Interestingly, a couple of years ago, Trisha came on board for the Chiranjeevi-starrer Acharya, directed by Koratala Siva. But actress later backed out of the film citing creative differences with the team.
Meanwhile, Sreeleela has already been onboarded for the project.
