With the super success of Geetha Govindam, actor Vijay Deverakonda has joined the Rs 100 crore club within a short span of time. Made within a budget of Rs 10 crore, the film is minting money at the box-office.
Naturally, with all of his films doing good business, the actor has decided to raise his remuneration.
Vijay last hiked his price following the success of Arjun Reddy. According to a source, the actor will now charge Rs 10 crore as remuneration, which is a big jump from his last figure. “When his films are doing huge business, it’s not a big surprise to see a hike in the remuneration,” says a producer who doesn’t want to be named.
Interestingly, Geetha Govindam has pocketed nearly Rs 50 crore from only theatrical rights, with additional profits coming in from satellite, remake and digital rights.
