Superstar Jr NTR and his brother and actor Kalyan Ram didn't attend the prestigious event of unveiling the commemorative Rs 100 coin featuring legendary N T Rama Rao at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Monday. Whereas, thespian NTR's sons and daughters and their respective families, along with TDP chief Nara Chandrababu Naidu, attended the notable event held in the year that marked NTR's birth anniversary.
"Nowadays, Jr NTR and Kalyan Ram are thinking alike and attending functions together," says a source. "If NTR is planning to grace an event, Kalyan Ram will follow suit; otherwise, both skip," he adds.
In fact, both the actors attended the grand marriage celebrations of their nephew Sri Harsha(son of Nandamuri Suhasini) recently and even posed for pictures. "NTR shook hands with Balakrishna, and then both NTR and Kalyan took pictures with Balakrishna's son Mokshagna, and all showed a great bonhomie at the marriage celebrations," the source adds.
However, they couldn't make it for the commemorative coin function, citing work commitments despite knowing that Nandamuri Balakrishna and his family would attend it too. "Both NTR and Kalyan Ram were sent invitations, but they didn't make it, citing prior work commitments. Jr NTR is busy shooting his magnum opus 'Devara,' and massive sets have been erected," he concludes.
